OAKBORO, North Carolina (May 14, 2012) - Carolina Paper Company (CPC) has ordered its first fully-automated, high-speed converting machine, which will manufacture Hardwound and Centerpull Towels as well as Jumbo Roll Tissue. According to the manufacturer, United Converting, the new machine will run at speeds almost 50% faster than their current machines. CPC will take delivery of this new machine in late October and anticipates production to start in December 2012.

CPC is also pleased to announce the purchase of a Folded Dinner napkin machine as well as a Sheeter machine, designed to conver Air-Laid paper stock into 'cloth replacement' dinner napkins. Both machines arrived in late April and are projected to start production in mid-June.

The addition of these three new machines, as well as new automation systems, will radically increase the efficiency of the entire plant while adding significant capacity to CPC.

These capital improvements are further examples of CPC reinvesting in the company's future while building a sustainable business to better support our customers.
